Double Chocolate Cake

Making a beautiful double chocolate cake doesn’t get easier than this! Just mix all the ingredients and bake the cake in a beautifully shaped bundt cake pan. White chocolate sauce is super easy to make by mixing melted white chocolate and some vegetable oil. You can store this cake at room temperature.

  • 6 dl all-purpose flour (2 ½ cups)
  • 4 1/2 dl granulated sugar (1 ¾ cup + 2 tbsp)
  • 1 dl cocoa powder (¼ cup + 3 tbsp)
  • 4 tsp baking powder
  • 3 tsp vanilla sugar
  • 300 g butter (10.5 oz)
  • 4 eggs
  • 3 1/2 dl milk (1 ¼ cup + 3 tbsp)


  • 100 g white chocolate (3.5 oz)
  • 1/2 tsp vegetable oil


Preheat the oven to 175 degrees celsius (347 °F). Butter and flour the cake tin with all-purpose flour. Mix all the dry ingredients. Melt the butter and add the eggs and milk. Add the dry ingredients through a sieve. Pour the mix into the tin. Bake on the lowest level of the oven for about 1 hour until only a couple of crumbs stick to a test stick. Don’t bake too long.

Melt the white chocolate in the microwave or over simmering water. Add the vegetable oil mixing well and decorate the cake.


You can also add pieces of white chocolate into the dough before baking.
