Beautiful cinnamon star bun is surprisingly easy to make! You can use this recipe for making traditional cinnamon buns too.
CINNAMON STAR BUN

25 g yeast
3/4 dl granulated sugar
2 tsp cardamom
1/2 tsp salt
about 7 dl all-purpose flour
75 g butter at room temperature
FILLING
75 g butter at room temperature
3/4 dl brown sugar
1 tbsp cinnamon
1 tsp vanilla sugar

1 egg
cane sugar
INSTRUCTIONS
Dissolve the yeast into warm milk. Add the sugar, cardamom and salt. Add the flour and the soft butter.
Divide the dough into four pieces. Roll the pieces into thin round sheets on a surface dusted with flour.
Mix the soft butter, brown sugar, cinnamon and vanilla sugar. Spread the filling onto three sheets and place them on top of each other. Pinch the sides together. Place a drinking glass onto the center of the dough and cut the dough into 12 sections. Turn the sections into different directions making a star shape. Let the bun rise for about 30 minutes. Preheat the oven to 175 degrees celsius.
Brush the bun with some egg and sprinkle with some cane sugar. Bake in the middle of the oven for about 30 minutes.
