Christmas Donuts

In collaboration with Heirol Oy.

Donuts are super easy to make in a donut tin! Just bake the donuts in the oven and they will be perfectly shaped. Add some Christmas flavour to the dough with some cinnamon!

12 pieces

1 egg (medium size)
1 1/2 dl milk
1/2 dl vegetable oil
3 dl all-purpose flour
1 dl sugar
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp cardamom
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp vanilla sugar or a couple of drops of vanilla extract
1/2 tsp salt

1 dl double cream
2 dl brown sugar
100 g butter
1 tsp vanilla sugar or a couple of drops of vanilla extract
3 dl icing sugar
sea salt flakes

Preheat the oven to 200 degrees celcius. Butter the donut tin. Mix the egg, milk and vegetable oil in a bowl. Mix all the dry ingredients and add them to the batter through a sieve.

Divide the dough into the tin and bake in the middle of oven for about 8 minutes.

Mix the double cream, brown sugar, butter and vanilla sugar in a sauce pan. Boil for one minute mixing constantly. Let the caramel cool a bit and add the icing sugar through a sieve. Dip the donuts into the caramel and sprinkle some sea salt flakes on the icing.
